Dataverse is a repository software developed by the Institute for Quantitative Social Science of Harvard University to enable researchers to archive and publish research data. It's supported by an active Dataverse Development Community with contributors around the world.

Currently, the User Interface (UI) is in English. Task 5.2 of the SSHOC project integrated  a tool (Weblate) into the installation pipeline of Dataverse  to translate the UI more easily. This procedure can be used by organisations who are interested to have a UI in their national language(s). On June 2nd, a workshop took place to explain the ins and outs of the tool, and participants were invited to create an account and use the tool themselves.

The follow-up meeting will give the participants the opportunity to share their first Dataverse translating experiences. Topics can include translating issues, the Weblate software, the content of the User Guide and future collaboration. The exact agenda of this meeting will be published later.

If you are willing to share your experiences by giving a short presentation during the event, please send an e-mail to training@cessda.eu
